Most visitors to Grand Canyon National Park will come across a number of interesting animals and birds.  They include the Bald Eagle, Golden Eagle, Mountain Lion, Mule Deer, Elk, California Condor, Big Horn Sheep and perhaps coyote.

The wide range of animal life is the result of the diverse landscape, elevation and habitat of the park.

When visiting the Grand Canyon, it is important to not approach animals or frighten them in any way.  It is also important not to feed them as it is not healthy for them to become dependent on humans for their food.
